Fitness Column 1 - Where To Start

For a lot of us life is pretty hectic. We all have responsibilities; whether it be picking the kids up from school, challenging work deadlines, renewing our mortgage, getting the car through the M.O.T,  all of which can leave us stressed and causing us to neglect our health.

Ask yourself, how often do you miss a meal or plan exercise which just never happens? It’s easily done and it’s part of life but what we need to remember is without our health, it's all for nothing.

So, where do we start to make a difference? Planning! Forward planning will help you achieve and reach targets set by yourself, it will also help to build a steady routine and ultimately make you feel better.

If you’re not training currently and you are not sure where to start, it may be beneficial to chat to someone who knows what they’re doing. Many people in the fitness world, including myself, welcome any questions and can advise on an appropriate course of action.

If making the first move  seems a little daunting, get the trusted Google search bar up and start researching for yourself. Google, as well as YouTube have made it so much easier for us to broaden our fitness knowledge horizons and they are awesome tools to help us get started in a comfortable environment.

In Thetford there are many fitness classes which accommodate all levels of fitness especially at beginner level. The classes help people build not only self-esteem, but knowledge of exercising which can help you get into a routine and to assist you in becoming a healthier, fitter version of yourself.
